UPDATE[!]; ANNOUNCEMENT FROM IMMIGRATION BUREAU             

No matter when you came to extend your visa, the permission date of all visa types will start counting from NOVEMBER 1, 2020.
In order to reduce overcrowding, an application for visa extension can be submitted at each local immigration office from now on until October 31, 2020. The permission date of all visa types will be effective from November 1, 2020

On Thursday 11 June 2020, AustCham Thailand held a webinar on “What’s next? Insights into how Asian markets will look post COVID-19”, presented by John Evans, Managing Director of Tractus Asia. John provided insights into how Asian markets will look post COVID-19, with analysis of who are the winners, losers, and those left in the middle, and what strategic questions those companies will need to ask in order to re-engineer the way they do business to survive.

Advance Australia Council Virtual Meeting with Australian Ambassador, H.E. Allan McKinnon

The Advance Australia Council, comprised of AustCham Thailand, Australian Alumni, ANZWG, Australian International School, TATSC, and the Thailand Tigers Australian Football Club, held a Virtual Meeting with Australian Ambassador, H.E. Allan McKinnon on Tuesday 9 June 2020, 13.00-14.00. The meeting was highlighted by an Australian Embassy update from the Ambassador, and interactive discussion between the Ambassador and Advance Australia Council members sharing experiences on the current situation for Australians in Thailand.
