For the past few years the number of crabs have continued to decline in the Gulf of Thailand due to overfishing. As well as the crabs themselves facing an uncertain future, this decline will mean the natural and ecological balance in the area will be hard to maintain.
Now it’s your opportunity to help out on our own very own CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) day trip from Bangkok.
Our tour will start at 06.30 hrs with a pick up from your home and then we head down the eastern seaboard to the Royal Thai Marine Corps (RTMC), Sattahip. Here pay respect to the Prince Chumphon Shrine & Memorial, then visit a viewpoint before visiting the Marine Corp Museum.
After lunch , listen to a short brief on marine animal conservation by the RTMC team and take a boat ride to release the baby sea crabs back into the sea. (you may also request to release a baby sand shark by paying a THB 500 supplement) . After, enjoy some free time by having a swim in the sea or renting a kayak, before departing at around 16.00 hrs for the journey back to Bangkok (approx. 3 hrs).
Price is only THB 2,200 per person with minimum of 4 pax. Children (under 12 yrs) receive a 20% discount.
We can also arrange trips for larger groups (particularly school groups).
