Phuket, Thailand – September 29, 2025 – Takieng, the multi award-winning Thai restaurant at Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa, announces a limited two-night Four-Hands Dinner featuring Chef Zetrong (Winner, MasterChef Thailand Season 6) and Chef Ja, Chef de Cuisine at Takieng, on Thursday, October 9 and Friday, October 10, 2025, from 6:00 PM onward.
Across six elegant courses, Chef Zetrong (Winner, MasterChef Thailand S6) refines palace-inspired classics with contemporary finesse, while Chef Ja answers with bold Southern flavors and rare local ingredients from the Andaman.
AMUSE BOUCHE paired with Penfolds Max’s Rosé
• Thai savory puff with marinated minced halibut (Samsen Palace recipe, Bangkok)
• Pink pomelo salad & water chestnuts with lemongrass-infused seared sea scallop on betel leaf
• Traditional flower-pleated dumpling filled with crabmeat
APPETIZER paired with Penfolds Koonunga Hill Autumn Riesling
• Crisp fried stuffed taro, with Burmese–Ava style ajaad (ginger flower & pineapple) (Chao Crok Thong-Yu recipe)
• Steamed rice dumpling and stir-fried crispy fish with yellow curry paste
SOUP paired with Penfolds Max’s Chardonnay
• Southern Thai paco fern gently boiled in coconut milk, with shrimp-paste-marinated tiger prawn
MAIN — Fine Thai Set paired with Penfolds Bin 128 Coonawarra Shiraz
• Choice of main: Stir-fried beef cheek with eggplant & Thai basil or stir-fried crabmeat with yellow chili
(special recipe from H.R.H. Princess Sukhuma Marasri, Consort of King Chulalongkorn Rama V, Wang Khun Phrom Palace)
• Peranakan-style stewed pork belly with garcinia & sweet yam
• Black peppercorn dip from Trang Province’s Palian District, with fresh local fruits & vegetables
