7 OCT – AustCham Member Briefing: “FIT TO GO: How to achieve healthy exercise and weight management”

On Wednesday 7th October 2020, The Australian-Thai Chamber of Commerce (AustCham) held Member Briefing on “FIT TO GO: How to achieve healthy exercise and weight management” at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok. Thank you to our guests speakers, Dr. Pakapon Issaragrisil; Orthopedic Surgeon, Academy of Sports and Exercise Medicine, Bangkok Hospital and Dr. Anoma Charoensap; Education Manager, Blackmores Institute, for sharing with us how to exercise efficiently to help prevent injuries while achieving our health goals and what nutrients are vital to support healthy exercise while maintain a healthy body weight.

9 OCT – AustCham Thailand Webinar: Work From Home – Insights & Learnings 

On Friday 9 October, AustCham Thailand held AustCham Thailand Webinar: Work From Home – Insights & Learnings. Moderated by Gary Woollacott, Managing Partner at Horton International, the speakers, Andrew Norton; CEO at Restaurants Development and Sherry Cameron; Service Delivery Team Lead at Lifeline Australia, presented us an implementation of WFH practice within their organisations. We would like to thank them for sharing their thoughts on what worked, what didn’t and considerations for working from home policies in the future.

20 OCT – AustCham’s Business Cocktail Reception

On Tuesday 20 October 2020, the Australian-Thai Chamber of Commerce, together with the Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, H.E. Mr. Allan McKinnon, hosted a Business Cocktail Reception at Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20 to celebrate the strong bilateral business relationships between Australia and Thailand, and brought together representatives from the Australian business community in Thailand and Thai business community with Australian interests. AustCham Thailand would like to sincerely thank all those who attended.

28 OCT – AustCham Manufacturing Committee Meeting

On Wednesday 28th October 2020, AustCham’s Manufacturing committee held a meeting at the Eastern Seaboard to discuss current issues facing manufacturers in Thailand. AustCham member Hellmann Worldwide Logistics provided an update on our recent Customs committee activities and an important update on the sea freight situation. Thanks to AustCham Director Frank Holzer for hosting at his ANCA Sheetmetal Solutions office.
