30 OCT - From Vine to Glass: Embark on a Journey to Northeast Italy with Zorzettig Winery at Akira Back Bangkok

Mr. Boris Riccardo, the winery’s export manager
Akira Back Bangkok, the innovative Asian restaurant set on the top floor of Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park, invites couples and friends to embark on a journey to Italy’s northeastern hills with Zorzettig, the acclaimed winemaker with more than 150 years of heritage.
For one night only, on October 30, 2026, the talented culinary team at Akira Back will curate a five-course menu using the finest ingredients and contemporary techniques. Each dish will be expertly paired with Zorzettig’s most sought-after labels and personally presented by Mr. Boris Riccardo, the winery’s export manager, who will guide guests on an immersive epicurean adventure.
Having been greeted with a glass of Zorzettig Sauvignon DOC Friuli Venezia Giulia, a crisp and elegant white wine, the menu commences with a light and fresh appetizer of New Style Sashimi (JP white fish, nambanzu and parmesan cheese), accompanied with a glass of Zorzettig Rosato DOC Friuli Venezia Giulia – a dry rosé wine with similarly fresh, fruity flavors.
This will be followed by a succulent Hokkaido Scallop in a Half Shell, enhanced with kimchi, bacon and gochujang butter, and complemented with a glass of Zorzettig Pinot Grigio DOC Friuli Venezia Giulia – a gentle yet vibrant white wine. Then, an exquisite course of Miso Halibut with garlic spinach and green asparagus will be paired with Zorzettig MYO Friulano DOC Friuli Venezia Giulia, the company's flagship white wine, which is sufficiently full-bodied to balance the umami depth of the fish.
The indulgent main course of Wagyu Short Ribs is slow-cooked for 48 hours until the meat falls off the bone, then served with potato purée, root vegetables and a rich braising jus. This will be presented alongside a glass of Zorzettig Cabernet Franc DOC Friuli Venezia Giulia, a deep ruby-red wine with notes of dark fruit and black pepper. The journey then concludes with a tropical dessert of AB Chocolate in a Cup – Gianduja hazelnut brownie with rum & raisin ice cream and banana foam. Complemented with tea or coffee, this is a wonderful way to end an unforgettable evening.
Staged on Friday October 30, 2026, from 18:00–22:00 hrs, this exclusive wine dinner is priced at THB 4,500++ per person. Limited seats are available. For advanced reservations, please visit https://sevn.ly/x57B5NRX
