“Flavors of Lanna” – Embark on a Culinary Journey to Northern Thailand at The Siam Tea Room
Bangkok, Thailand, October 12, 2026 – The Siam Tea Room, the authentic Thai restaurant and casual café at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, invites diners to embark on a journey to the Lanna Kingdom, which shaped the rich cultural and culinary heritage of Northern Thailand, with a new two-month promotion.
From October 12 to November 30, 2026, hotel guests and local residents can experience the “Flavors of Lanna” with a selection of six special menu items. Crafted using time-honored recipes and local ingredients, these delectable dishes will be a feast for the senses.
Diners seeking a light and fragrant appetizer can enjoy Larb Kua Moo (THB 390++), the iconic salad of stir-fried minced pork with roasted dried spices and herbs, served with fresh local vegetables, or Khantoke Noi (THB 490++), a selection of authentic Northern Thai bites, including traditional herb sausage, crispy pork rinds, and fresh local vegetables, accompanied with roasted green chili dip and minced pork & tomato dip.
For those who want to discover the unique ingredients that give Lanna cuisine its distinct flavor, Kua Phak Kood Sai Jin Som (THB 320++), stir-fried fiddlehead fern with cured sour pork, tomatoes, garlic and chili and Tom Som Kai Mueang (THB 360++), local chicken soup with a spicy & sour broth and som poi leaves are rarely found on the menus of regular Thai restaurants. And for a truly indulgent experience, Gaeng Om Jin Wua (THB 560++), slow-braised beef in Northern Thai curry broth, infused with fragrant spices, ma-khean pepper and fresh herbs will linger on the taste buds.
Finally, guests with a sweet tooth can end their meal with Khao Tom Khao Nom (THB 190++), traditional Northern Thai desserts with shredded coconut.
