PARK HYATT BANGKOK PARTNERS WITH BANGKOK ART AND CULTURE CENTRE TO CHAMPION ART EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Bangkok, Thailand – 19 December 2025 – Park Hyatt Bangkok is proud to announce an exclusive collaboration and initiative with the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC), reinforcing its commitment to supporting Thai contemporary art and fostering cultural education. This partnership introduces a series of educational programs designed to engage diverse audiences and celebrate creativity in alignment with Park Hyatt Brand’s core values: Art & Design, Community, and Sustainability.

The collaboration focuses on two exclusive initiatives developed in connection with the Chatchai Puipia exhibition “Catch the Moon”, reflecting BACC’s mission to activate public spaces and promote inclusive access to the arts. Chatchai Puipia is widely regarded as one of Thailand’s most influential contemporary artists. Known for his incisive social commentary and distinctive visual language, Puipia’s work spans over four decades and explores themes of identity, memory, and perception. His practice combines observation with profound self-reflection, often expressed through figurative painting and self-portraiture, and semi-narrative tableaux that challenge notions of happiness, consumerism, and cultural identity.

“This collaboration reflects our belief that luxury should be purposeful—enriching lives through art, education, and community engagement,” said Mark de Leeuwerk, General Manager of Park Hyatt Bangkok. “We are honored to support BACC in its mission to make art accessible and meaningful for all our guests. The hotel proudly showcases nine bespoke works by renowned Thai artist Chatchai Puipia, each thoughtfully created for its designated space. The highlight is the striking collection in the Bar, a masterpiece that weaves Thai motifs and cultural elements with the artist’s inspiration from the butterflies that surrounded him during its creation.”

The hotel’s curated selection of Chatchai Puipia’s works throughout its interiors is a treasured collection belonging to the owners, the Chirativat family of Central Group, reflecting a deep appreciation for Thai contemporary art.
