Message from Chamber

Dear AustCham Members,

Over the first two weeks of my term as President, the immediate focus has been on stabilization, continuity, and establishing a clear foundation for the year ahead.

Following the transition, priority has been given to engaging with the Board, key stakeholders, and in particular members via a number of events I have attended to ensure alignment on current challenges and expectations. Initial discussions have highlighted the need to reinforce core operations, improve member engagement, and rebuild momentum across our key programs including recommencement of AustCham TV.

In combination with a strategy session planned for April 2, from an operational perspective, we have begun reviewing internal processes, financial positioning, and existing commitments to identify efficiencies and areas requiring immediate attention. Early steps have also been taken to reconnect with sponsors and partners, reaffirming our value proposition and commitment to delivering tangible outcomes.

In parallel, work has commenced on defining a practical roadmap for the coming months, focusing on sustainable growth, disciplined cost management, and strengthening the Chamber’s relevance to members.

While it is still early in the term, the emphasis remains on restoring confidence, ensuring stability, and building a solid platform from which we can deliver measurable progress throughout the year.

Further updates will follow as initiatives are formalized and implemented; in the meantime, I hope to see Members at Sundowners and of note is the upcoming ANZAC Day Ceremony on April 25th at Kanchanaburi. On AustCham TV I encouraged members to "Show Up", which means, participating, getting involved, move from the stands to the court, putting yourself forward for your staff, your customers, your shareholders, and yourself. Reflecting and enjoying a laugh with your fellow members does make things easier.

Simon Moran

President
