Message From Chamber - September 2026
Dear Members,
Before anything else, our thoughts are with everyone affected by the recent flooding across parts of Thailand. We know many members, their staff and their families have been impacted. If there's anything the Chamber can do to help, please let us know.
September was a big month for AustCham. Thank you to everyone who came along to the 2026 AFL Grand Final Family Day on 26 September despite the heavy rain that weekend. It's always a highlight, and it was great to see so many members and families enjoying the afternoon together, and the Australia–Thailand Future Skills Forum 2026 were also well attended.

Our Sundowners keep selling out, so please don't leave it to the last minute to grab a ticket.
I also wanted to share a quick update from the Advocacy Subcommittee, which I co-lead with colleagues from the Australian Embassy. One of our first big initiatives is taking the new Australian Ambassador, H.E. Mr Pablo Kang, down to the Eastern Seaboard to meet our members on the ground. It's a chance for the Ambassador to see first-hand the investment Australian businesses have made in Thailand, and to hear directly from you about what's working and what isn't. We'll share details shortly, and I'd encourage members with operations in the area to get involved.
More broadly, our advocacy is only as good as the issues you bring to us. If there's a challenge affecting your business, drop me a line directly, contact the AustCham office, or please come and speak to me at an event.
Finally, a big thanks to the AustCham office team, who keep delivering a great programme each and every month. If you see Frank or the team at the next event, please say hello and let them know their efforts are appreciated.
Looking forward to catching up with many of you over October.
