21-31 AUG - Meet the “Masters of the Chinese Barbecue” at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park with Chef Leo Cao of Man Ho Chinese Restaurant, Chengdu

Chef Leo Cao

This August, Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park invites guests to experience the skill and craftsmanship of Chef Leo Cao, the Cantonese culinary maestro and master of the Chinese barbecue who is visiting from Man Ho Chinese Restaurant, JW Marriott Hotel Chengdu.

For 11 days only, from August 21-31, 2026, diners at Pagoda Chinese Restaurant, the award-winning Cantonese dining destination, and Goji Kitchen + Bar, the international culinary marketplace, will be able to savor a selection of authentic barbecued and slow-roasted meats, expertly crafted by the “Masters of the Chinese Barbecue” - Chef Leo and Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park’s own talented chefs.

At Pagoda Chinese Restaurant, couples, colleagues, families and friends can come together for Chef Leo's signature barbecue dishes, perfectly paired with fresh Chinese tea and fine wines. Man Ho Special Crispy Chicken can be accompanied with Tie Guan Yin oolong tea or Follador Prosecco, an elegant Italian sparkling wine, while Crispy Pork Belly is complemented with floral Chrysanthemum tea or subtly sweet Saar Selbach Kabinett Traditional Riesling from Germany.

For a celebratory dining experience, Chef Leo's Barbecued Peking Duck is an indulgent dish that can be complemented with Pu-erh tea, or fruity Babich Pinot Noir from New Zealand, while Crispy Roast Suckling Pig can be shared along with a pot of Da Hong Pao (rock oolong tea) or Joseph Drouhin Chardonnay, Mâcon-Villages AOC, a vibrant French white wine.

Chef Leo's Honey-Glazed Premium Barbecue Pork is a sweet-savory sensation that can be paired with Lapsang Souchong tea or Beringer Founder’s Estate Cabernet Sauvignon from California, USA, and the deep gamey flavor of Crispy Baby Pigeon is elevated to new levels of excellence with Silver Needle white tea, or Le Préaré Valpolicella Ripasso, an Italian red.

These slow-roasted Chinese specialties can also be discovered as part of the popular weekday and weekend dinner buffets, Saturday lunch or Sunday brunch at Goji Kitchen + Bar. Chef Leo's signature dishes and specialties, including Man Ho crispy chicken, crispy suckling pig, Peking duck, honey-glazed BBQ pork and crispy baby pigeon can be enjoyed at a dedicated live station, alongside seafood on ice, freshly-shucked oysters, hand-cut sushi and sashimi, Thai flavors, international favorites, indulgent desserts and more.
