International Jazz Week 2026: Soul of Jazz & Beyond

A Five-Night Odyssey of Rhythm, Heritage & World-Class Artistry at The Living Room, Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok

BANGKOK, THAILAND | April 30 – May 4, 2026

The Living Room at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, A Luxury Collection Hotel, announces the return of International Jazz Week — expanding UNESCO's International Jazz Day into five immersive evenings that celebrate the soul, history, and boundless evolution of jazz.

This landmark edition carries a double significance. It coincides with the 30th Anniversary of Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit — three decades as Bangkok's premier address for world-class live music — and presents an ambitious program of over ten performances, each a distinct chapter in a global musical conversation spanning continents, centuries, and genres.

The Lineup

April 30 — Dale Barlow (Australia) The legendary saxophonist and longtime member of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers opens the week with a hard-driving Soul Jazz set that traces the music back to its roots.

May 1 — Koh Mr. Saxman with the Takeshi Band & WAKASA (Thailand · Japan) The headline night belongs to Thailand's preeminent jazz ambassador, Koh Mr. Saxman, leading the Takeshi Band alongside Japanese R&B luminary WAKASA. Expect a masterful collision of Pop-Jazz and Fusion that defines the contemporary Thai-Inter sound.

May 1–2 — Oleg Polyanskiy (Ukraine) A virtuoso equally at home in the classical and jazz traditions, Polyanskiy delivers intimate solo performances that reveal the profound kinship between the two great disciplines.

May 2 — The Sound of Siam (Thailand) In one of the week's most anticipated performances, the ensemble integrates Khon — the sacred tradition of Thai masked dance — into a sophisticated jazz fusion set. A visual and auditory bridge between ancient heritage and the modern stage.

May 3 — International Jazz Summit A collaborative vocal and jazz performance by international musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds, united by a shared devotion to the jazz tradition.

May 3 — Ardawan An emerging R&B singer and artist from Thailand, presenting a vibrant blend of POP, R&B, SOUL, and FUNKY sounds. With a soulful jazz spirit, the performance brings renewed contemporary character and joyful energy to The Living Room.

May 4 — Cherryl Hayes (United States) — Grand Finale: Homecoming & Reunion American Jazz Diva Cherryl Hayes hosts the closing night — a reunion concert bringing together the artists and memories that have defined The Living Room across 30 remarkable years.

A Symphony of Flavors

To complement the artistry on stage, the culinary team has composed three exclusive handcrafted canapé sets (THB 480++), each a curated journey through a distinct gastronomic tradition:
