KIMPTON MAA-LAI BANGKOK TAKES COFFEE LOVERS ON A TRIP AROUND THE WORLD FOR INTERNATIONAL COFFEE MONTH

Seven coffee traditions and one month to try them all at CRAFT, the hotel’s lobby café and social hub.

Coffee may be an everyday ritual, but every culture has its own way of enjoying it. From 1 to 31 October 2026, CRAFT at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok celebrates International Coffee Month with seven coffee creations inspired by seven countries, inviting guests to discover a new way to savour their daily brew.

A CUP AROUND THE WORLD

Across the seven creations, familiar espresso takes on a different character depending on where in the world the inspiration comes from.

From Austria, a rendition on the Wiener Melange keeps things smooth with espresso, milk and vanilla syrup. Thailand’s Oliang Grass Jelly layers traditional Thai-style black coffee, or “Oliang”, with palm sugar, condensed milk, grass jelly and brown sugar. Italy’s Mochaccino takes a more indulgent turn with chocolate ganache and mascarpone, while the Greek Freddo Cappuccino pairs a double espresso shot with milk foam and chocolate powder.

Rüdesheimer Kaffee from Germany adds Hennessy VS cognac, brown sugar, whipped cream and chocolate to espresso. Peru’s Café Pasado puts the focus back on the coffee itself with Peruvian-style drip coffee made using Ayuri Geisha Washed beans from San Ignacio. One for the purists, Venezuela’s Guayoyo keeps things simpler still with its traditional style of black coffee.

COFFEE, THE CRAFT WAY

At CRAFT, coffee made with heart has always been part of the rhythm of the day, from the first fragrant cup in the morning to an afternoon catch-up on the terrace. International Coffee Month gives guests another reason to stay for one more cup, while discovering how one of the world's most familiar drinks takes on a different character from country to country.

International Coffee Month at CRAFT is available from 1 to 31 October 2026, with individual creations priced from THB 150 to THB 200. For enquiries, please call +66 (0)2 056 9999 or visit www.kimptonmaalaibangkok.com/bangkok-restaurants/craft/.
