Le Du Kaan Introduces Four New Dishes to Celebrate the Taste of Summer
– Le Du Kaan, Bangkok’s first rooftop Thai restaurant, perched on the 56th floor of EA Rooftop at The Empire in the heart of the Thai capital, is inviting guests to step into a bright, hot, and sunny day with a bold new summer menu that captures the essence of this evocative season.
Running from March to June, guests are invited to embrace the vibrant spirit of summer with a selection of dishes that highlight the season’s freshest ingredients. Led by Chef Ton Thitid Tassanakajohn, a leading figure in Thai fine dining, the culinary team at Le Du Kaan has created a limited-time menu that celebrates seasonality, creativity, and cultural inspiration, presented through refined techniques and thoughtful culinary artistry.
The summer menu focuses on flavors that let guests cool off as the mercury rises. Yum Tang Kwa (THB 620) presents ocean-fresh raw Andaman tiger prawn with local herbs and variations of cucumber, which is famed for its high-water content and can help to reduce the body’s internal temperature, while Namm Kor Moo (THB590) combines the bold, tangy flavor of house-fermented pork with pickled vegetables and tamarind sauce to stimulate the appetite.
Nuer Yang Kati (THB 1,890) revives a classic home-style recipe, with premium Thai Tajima short ribs, grilled with coconut milk and seasoned with mustard leaves to achieve a sour and savory sensation. And for a true taste of Thai heritage, Khao Chae (THB 390) is a time-honored dish that rose to popularity in the royal court of King Rama V, offering refreshment and relief from the daytime heat. At Le Du Kaan, this classic recipe has been transformed into an innovative dessert featuring rice milk ice cream with shrimp paste crumble, salted egg with mung bean paste and pickled mango.
The Summer Season Menu is available from now to 30 June 2026, with selected dishes featured as part of a Summer Set Lunch (11.30 – 14.30 hrs.), and the full four-menu experience available for dinner (17.00 – 22.30 hrs.).
