PARK HYATT BANGKOK CONGRATULATES PIMALI FOUNDATION ON 10 YEARS OF PURPOSE & PEOPLE—CONTINUING A PARTNERSHIP THAT OPENS DOORS FOR FUTURE HOSPITALITY TALENT
Park Hyatt Bangkok extends its congratulations to the Pimali Foundation as it celebrates 10 years of purpose and people, a decade dedicated to expanding opportunities for underprivileged youth through practical skills and pathways to long-term employment. Founded in 2012, the Pimali Foundation was created to fight the exploitation of disadvantaged youth and reduce poverty in Thailand’s Northeast using hands-on hospitality training to help young people build independence and a sustainable future.
Since October 2023, Park Hyatt Bangkok has been proud to partner with Pimali through Hyatt’s RiseHY (Opportunity Youth) program, a global initiative created to connect young people who face barriers to employment with meaningful, long-term careers in hospitality through training, work-based learning, and community partnerships.
Together with Pimali, Park Hyatt Bangkok is helping shape real stories of people, supporting young talents as they build confidence, professional skills, and a sustainable future for themselves and their families. This partnership brings to life Hyatt’s purpose of caring for people so they can be their best, while strengthening Thailand’s hospitality talent pipeline.

Community Grant support
This collaboration is supported through Hyatt International’s community investment, and awarded for two consecutive years. These funds help enable training and work-based learning opportunities that support young people in building job-ready skills and entering the hospitality workforce. Through the partnership, Park Hyatt Bangkok provides hands-on mentorship and six-month internships within the hotel, offering real-world experience across operational departments and supporting participants as they transition from training to employment.
To date, six Pimali students have completed or are currently undertaking internships with Park Hyatt Bangkok. Four graduates have successfully joined the hotel’s Housekeeping Department as regular associates, while two students are currently completing internships in the Culinary Department, demonstrating the program’s potential to translate skills development into long-term, stable careers.
This collaboration also supports Park Hyatt Bangkok’s brand focus on Caring for Community and Supporting Local, reinforcing the hotel’s commitment to developing Thai talent and contributing to a stronger local hospitality ecosystem.
“At Park Hyatt Bangkok, we believe true luxury is defined not only by world-class service, but by the care we extend to our communities,” said Mark de Leeuwerk, General Manager, Park Hyatt Bangkok. “Through RiseHY and our partnership with the Pimali Foundation, we are helping open doors to life-changing opportunities for young people and their families—supporting them with real experience, mentorship, and a pathway to stable, long-term careers in hospitality. We are proud to celebrate Pimali’s 10 years of purpose and people and we look forward to continuing this journey together.”
“Pimali was created to give young people the chance to believe in themselves and build a future with dignity,” said Stephanie Des Arts-Loup, Co-Founder of the Pimali Foundation. “Seeing our graduates grow into confident professionals reminds us that hospitality, when guided by generosity, can truly change lives.”
