Shrewsbury Bangkok Riverside Graduates Earn Record Number of Offers from Global Top Universities
121 Graduates Secure Places at the World's Leading Universities, Reinforcing Shrewsbury's Reputation for Academic Excellence

Shrewsbury International School Bangkok Riverside is celebrating a remarkable year for the Class of 2026, whose outstanding university destinations and inspiring personal achievements reflect the breadth of talent, ambition and purpose nurtured throughout their time at the school. The achievements of this year’s graduating cohort reinforce the school’s longstanding reputation as a centre of excellence in international education and a nurturing ground for globally minded future leaders.
The Class of 2026, comprising 121 graduates, has received an exceptional number of offers from leading universities across the United Kingdom, the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia. Collectively, students secured 15 Ivy League and Ivy Plus offers, 31 offers for Medicine programmes, 7 offers from the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, and 48 offers from universities ranked within the QS World Top 10.
Among the distinguished destinations secured by Shrewsbury students are the University of Oxford, Stanford University, Yale University, Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Imperial College London, University College London (UCL), Brown University, Georgetown University, Barnard College and the University of Southern California, among many other world-leading institutions.
Beyond Academic Excellence: A Cohort Defined by Purpose
While the statistics are exceptional, Shrewsbury says the story of the Class of 2026 extends far beyond university placements. This cohort has distinguished itself through a powerful combination of scholarship, leadership, creativity, sustainability and social impact.
Leadership and Global Impact
Among the standout students is Pim Pim, one of the school’s Head Students for 2025–26. Having joined Shrewsbury in Early Years Y1, she founded Project Paintbrush, an initiative that uses art and positive psychology to help children express emotions and build confidence.
Her project has expanded internationally to Hawaii and New Zealand, reached more than 500 children worldwide, collaborated with organisations including UNICEF Thailand and raised funds for under-resourced schools and hospitals. Pim Pim has now secured a place at Yale University, where she plans to continue exploring the intersection of psychology and art in education.

Sustainability Through Innovation
Another remarkable student-led initiative is EcoPinet, created by Medbua, Ploen, and Pei-Pei. They developed biodegradable, seed-embedded packaging made from discarded pineapple leaves, tackling agricultural waste and PM2.5 pollution in Thailand.
Their social enterprise has won national business competitions, been showcased at climate and agricultural expos and attracted interest from major hospitality groups. The three students will continue their studies in the United States at University of Southern California, Georgetown University and Barnard College respectively.
Preserving Thai Heritage on the Global Stage
For Anda, academic success went hand in hand with cultural preservation. Through Arthaisan, he worked to revitalise the traditional sedge weaving craft of Chanthaburi, helping local artisans connect with modern markets and international audiences.
Anda represented Thailand at ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel trade fair, before earning a place at Brown University.
A School Culture That Develops Global Citizens
Shrewsbury Bangkok Riverside attributes these successes to a school culture that treats leadership and service as integral parts of education, not extracurricular additions.
Through initiatives such as the Student Parliament, community engagement programmes, sustainability projects and student-led ministries, pupils are encouraged to turn ideas into meaningful action. The school’s approach combines rigorous academics with character development, wellbeing and real-world experience.
“At Shrewsbury, there has always been an emphasis on leadership as action,” said Head Student Pat, who will also attend Brown University. “Students are encouraged not only to identify challenges, but to build sustainable solutions that benefit the wider community.”

A Growing Global Footprint
The university destinations of the Class of 2026 reflect an increasingly diverse and ambitious cohort. Students will go on to study Medicine, Engineering, Economics, Business, Computer Science, Humanities, Creative Arts and Social Sciences at institutions across multiple continents.
The school noted that this breadth of destinations demonstrates both the academic strength of the cohort and the global outlook fostered through a Shrewsbury education.
