CBRE Thailand Achieves WELL Platinum Certification

Bangkok – April 21, 2025 CBRE Thailand is proud to announce that it has achieved WELL Platinum Certification, the highest level awarded by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), with an impressive score of 83 points. Established in 2014, WELL Certification is the premier global benchmark for recognizing buildings designed and operated to enhance human health, wellness and sustainability. To date, fewer than 2,000 projects worldwide have earned this prestigious certification. CBRE Thailand’s office at One City Centre is now the seventh WELL-certified project in Thailand and only the second in the country to achieve Platinum status.

Following CBRE’s achievement of LEED Gold Certification in 2024, the WELL Platinum Certification further highlights the company’s unwavering commitment to creating healthier workplaces and reducing environmental impact. Strategically located at One City Centre—a Grade A+ office building already certified by LEED and Fitwel—this office benefits from excellent infrastructure that supports energy efficiency, water conservation, and sustainable building practices. Its proximity to BTS Phloen Chit station encourages reduced reliance on private vehicles, significantly lowering transportation-related carbon emissions.

The WELL Platinum Certification aligns closely with CBRE’s ambitious global sustainability targets. By 2030, CBRE aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 50% from a 2019 baseline and emissions from properties managed for clients by 55% per square foot. These near-term targets support CBRE’s overarching goal of achieving net zero emissions across its entire value chain by 2040.

CBRE’s commitment to wellness extends beyond sustainable design. The office features high-performance air filtration systems and real-time indoor air quality sensors that monitor pollutants such as PM2.5, CO2, VOCs, temperature and humidity. Employees benefit from wellness amenities including yoga sessions, stress management courses, weekly massages, gym memberships and healthy food options, as well as dedicated spaces tailored to diverse working styles.

Ms. Phatsareephak Srikanchananon, Head of Property Management at CBRE Thailand, expressed pride in this accomplishment: “We are proud to achieve WELL Platinum Certification! This milestone reinforces our commitment to creating spaces that enhance productivity, comfort, and quality of life. A healthier future starts here!”

Ms. Roongrat Veeraparkkaroon, Managing Director of CBRE Thailand, added: “We are incredibly proud to achieve WELL Platinum Certification, reflecting our unwavering commitment to the health, well-being, and productivity of our people. A healthier workplace means healthier, happier, and more productive staff.”

Thailand has seen rapid growth in green building certifications recently, with approximately 80% of new office developments in Bangkok’s CBD currently pursuing sustainability standards. Globally recognized for its expertise in sustainable real estate solutions—with over 600 sustainability specialists, including more than 85 WELL-accredited professionals certifying over 21 million square feet worldwide—CBRE continues to lead this important transformation.
