Ambassador Allan McKinnon visits Thailand’s Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives

Tightened Agriculture Tie Between Thailand and Australia Ambassador Allan McKinnon paid a courtesy call on Mr Thongplew Kongjun, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives.

Australian values highly the long-established relationship on agriculture between Thailand and Australia, both in terms of exchanging of information, cooperation and trade.

Two countries have cooperated on areas of mutual interest, such as irrigation, dairy, young farmers, organic production and agricultural data forecasting.
We look forward to elevate our closer and stronger cooperation through the Strategic Partnership.
Agricultural trade between two countries is growing and we are committed to facilitate safe trade. Two countries are working to open more market access for both sides, i.e. Thai cooked duck meat to Australia and Australian avocado to Thailand.
