AustCham’s ANZAC Day 2021

Given the recent outbreak of COVID-19 and new restrictions coming into place, this year’s ANZAC Day Tour was unfortunately cancelled.

That being said, in commemoration of the ANZAC Day, the Thai-Australian-New Zealand community held the online commemorative service via ZOOM platform at the dawn of Sunday 25 April.

It was our honour to have H.E. Mr Allan McKinnon PSM, Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand and James Andersen, Chargé d’Affaires New Zealand Embassy Bangkok, giving commence and closing remarks for this online commemorative services.

Additionally, small group of representatives of Thai-Australian-New Zealand community in Thailand: Gary Woollacott; Past President of AustCham Thailand, Maya Pearson; President of the NZTCC, Brenton Mauriello; Chairman of The Advance Australia Council (Thailand), Nattapat Mauriello, Brendan Cunningham; Executive Director of AustCham Thailand, Alison Howe; Past President of ANZWG and Darren Gaspari, went to Kanchanaburi and laid wreaths at Hellfire Pass on behalf of Advance Australia Council, AustCham Thailand, Australian Alumni, ANZWG, Thailand Tigers, Australian International School, New Zealand-Thai Chamber of Commerce (NZTCC) and New Zealand Society in Thailand.
