23 JUN – Australian Alumni Digital Innovation Forum: Cybersecurity – Assess and Address

On Tuesday 23 June, AustCham Thailand in partnership with the Australian Alumni and Australian Embassy Thailand held a Digital Innovation Forum on “Cybersecurity: Assess and Address”. In this regard, we would like to thank our keynote speakers; Dr. Tobias Feakin, Australia’s Ambassador for Cyber Affairs & Critical Technology at Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Parichart Jiravachara, Partner in Risk Advisory and Lead Cyber Risk Services at Deloitte Thailand, for taking their time to provide us with insights regarding the cybersecurity risks that face organisations in Australia and Thailand, and what can be done to minimize the risk. Also, we would like to thank M.L. Laksasubha Kridakon, President of Australian Alumni Association Thailand and Vice President of AustCham Thailand, for opening and closing remarks.

22 JUN – AustCham Thailand Webinar on Tax considerations for Australian expats

On Tuesday 22 June, AustCham Thailand held a webinar on “Tax considerations for Australian expats”. In this regard, we would like to thank our speaker; Jamie Towers, Tax Partner, Mazars in Australia, for taking his time to provide us with insights regarding the financial considerations that one must think about when living abroad, to ensure that they put themselves in a better situation when they repatriate back to Australia, or elsewhere. On Wednesday 9 June, AustCham Thailand held a webinar on “Crypto: Separating Myths From Reality”. In this regard, we would like to thank our the speakers; Sanjay Popli; CEO of Cryptomind, Jen Buakaew; Chief Operating Officer of GMO Z.Com Cryptonomics (Thailand) and Crypto-Asset Consultant Stefan King, for taking their time to provide us with an insights into Crypto exchanges and valuable suggestions to those who would like to explore this new digital market. 8 JUN – AustCham’s Digital Economy Committee Virtual Meeting on What’s Changed: Using Technology to Improve Business Evolution

On Tuesday 8 June, AustCham Thailand organized a virtual meeting on “What’s Changed Using Technology to Improve Business Evolution” with presentations from Stuart Shaw, Chief Marketing Officer Indochina at DB Results (Thailand) and Rajiv Parrab, CEO at A & II Group. The session was moderated by Simon Wetherell, AustCham Director and Managing Director at Australian Visas Thailand. Based on their experiences in the business industry, Stuart and Rajiv presented us with new insights on how to integrate the use of technology into business operations to help accelerate economic growth. We would like to thank all of our speakers for sharing their insights with us.
