Hon Scott Morrison MP speech to the UN General Assembly – September 26, 2020

On 26 September, the Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon Scott Morrison MP, delivered his speech to the UN General Assembly via videolink from Sydney. The Prime Minister’s speech focused on the need for countries to work together to address the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prime Minister Morrison reiterated that, should Australian research develop an effective COVID vaccine, ‘we will share it’. The Prime Minister’s address underscored the importance of collaboration in our shared endeavours to fight the spread of COVID-19, and noted the harmful impact of COVID-19 disinformation, which has cost lives, and risked creating a climate of fear and division.
