20 NOV – Seven reasons to join our Brighton College Bangkok A Level Scholarship Day

Saturday, November 20, 2021

Our on-campus “A Level Scholarship Day” is open to pupils aged 15-16 years on Saturday 20 November, from 08.30-13.45. You will find out more about the A Levels we offer, what it is like to be a pupil in our outstanding Sixth Form and you will be given the chance to show your talent to earn a financial scholarship.

  1. In 2021, Brighton College Bangkok celebrated A Level results that were amongst the best in Thailand, with Year 13 pupils achieving 97% of grades at A* or A. Our Year 11 pupils were able to achieve an incredible 86% A*-B grades at IGCSE in 2021, across a wide range of subjects.

  2. These results are consistent with the success across the Brighton College family of schools, with Brighton College in the UK retaining its status as England’s number one co-educational school for examination results. Brighton College in the UK has also been recognised as England’s Independent School of the Decade by The Sunday Times.

  3. Alumni from Brighton College Bangkok have gone on to study at some of the top universities across the world – in the UK, the USA, Europe and Thailand.

  4. High-quality university counselling is provided at Brighton College Bangkok. Sixth Form pupils aspiring to attend Oxford, Cambridge or Ivy League Universities can access training sessions and resources directly from Brighton College UK, in addition to the specialised training and preparation our dedicated Sixth Form team offers.

  5. Our ‘School for Medicine’ programme is an innovative, school-wide solution for developing knowledge and interest in a career in a medical-related field. It will enrich and broaden the education of all pupils, whilst appealing particularly to those wishing to apply for Medicine or related courses at university.  See more details at the link: shorturl.at/fxQTU

  6. Sixth Form pupils here enjoy small class sizes, where they benefit from outstanding specialist teachers and a choice of 21 different A Level subjects. Every year (pandemics permitting), we aim to send pupils to our sister school in the UK. In 2020, a group of Year 12 pupils enjoyed a week in Brighton, meeting peers, receiving guidance on university applications and visiting British universities.

  7. Our Sixth Form provides an extensive array of extra curricular activities that develop and broaden a range of skills and qualities. Pupils can engage in diverse music and sport activities in school as well as one off performances, events and fixtures. They can also take on leadership roles across the College that allow them to become ambassadors within the local and wider community, as well as focusing on projects that link into our key commitments to promoting kindness and social responsibility. Leading co-curricular events in school as well as participating in programmes such as the International Award and Model United Nations hone vital skills that facilitate a smooth and successful transition to the demands and rigours of the top colleges and universities that the pupils apply to.
