9 , 19 JUN – THE ST. REGIS BANKGOK UNVEILS DEBUT CHOCOLATE MAKING CLASS BY CHEF AEY

Wednesday, June 9, 2021

The hotel’s Executive Pastry Chef to host two inaugural classes in June at The Lounge.

The St. Regis Bangkok presents a chocolate cooking class conducted by the hotel’s award-winning Executive Pastry Chef, with introductory sessions taking place on Wednesday, 9 June and Saturday, 19 June 2021 at The Lounge.

Chef Anupong Nualchawee, also known as Chey Aey, is a renowned pastry chef and a finalist in the inaugural Top Chef Thailand Dessert Edition competition in May 2020.

For his inaugural chocolate making sessions, Chef Aey will offer small-group classes on how to create handcrafted chocolate bark. Over the two-hour class, guests will learn to create the base of the bark with premium ingredients from six distinct regions, including Valrhona, Lindt and Cacao Barry, before topping the chocolates with a selection of nuts, dried fruit, and candy.

Chef Aey draws from 13 years of pastry chef experience to share techniques including how to properly temper the chocolate so it can be stored in an airtight container for up to weeks, perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up with coffee, or presented in an attractive jar to gift a loved one.

Designed to be personal and relaxed, the classes are suitable for all guests including beginners. Complimentary cake and non-alcoholic drinks will be served during the class, and at the end of the session, guests can take home their chocolate bark creations.

A minimum of four students is required per session with a maximum of eight students per class.

The Chocolate Making Class by Chef Aey is priced at THB 1,100++ per person, inclusive of all ingredients, complimentary refreshments during class, and handcrafted chocolate bark to bring home.

The two introductory Chocolate Making Class by Chef Aey takes place on June 9 and 19
from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at The Lounge on the ground floor of The St. Regis Bangkok. Advance reservation and prepayment are required.

All hosts at The St. Regis Bangkok are fully trained in hygiene precautions and measures in line with Marriott’s Commitment to Clean.
