Don’t miss this year’s Phuket Hotels for Islands Sustaining Tourism: Asia’s largest, most innovative, and most important movement to bring sustainability to the region’s hospitality and tourism industry. With over 1,000 in attendance and powered by the momentum build within the Phuket Hotels Association, PHIST 2020 will be a Carnival with mandatory beach casual attire, happening 7 September at the Angsana Convention and Exhibition Space in Phuket. The all-day event, co-led with youth speakers and participants from all over the region, will feature:
• An event held with green meeting best practices
• Invite-only workshops specifically tailored for hotel General Managers and hotel developers to embed sustainability in their professions
• Open workshops on topics such as tackling plastic and food waste
• An exhibit floor (with a DJ spinning vibes) with nearly 100 exhibitors, all of whom vetted for providing sustainability products or services for hospitality
• The 2020 Green Beat 60 video competition award showcase
• A community organizations and social enterprises hub
• An energized main session with innovative talks with the trends in green technology, best practices, and traveler interest
