Message From Chamber – August 2025

Yvone

Warm greetings to our AustCham community!

August has been a vibrant and action-packed month for AustCham, filled with dynamic networking events, and meaningful community initiatives. Your energy and engagement across these activities continue to reflect the strength and spirit of our Chamber.

We kicked off the month with a vibrant Sundowners, generously supported by Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit and Nurture Higher Education. The evening began with a pre-event briefing offering valuable insights into international undergraduate pathways – bringing together business, education, and community in a meaningful way.

In Phuket, our Sundowners – co-hosted with BDO, Angsana Laguna, and 11 foreign chambers – was another standout event, filled with great conversations and new connections across the Australian-Thai business network.

Continuing the momentum, we had an interesting SME Coffee Morning focused on storytelling – an increasingly vital skill for businesses looking to stand out. This theme carried through to NextGen’s TEDx-Inspired Talks, where personal stories showcased how individuals are redefining work – offering fresh perspectives on the future of work.

As part of our ongoing CSR efforts, and on behalf of ANZ, we’re proud to support a meaningful initiative in collaboration with AustCham, Thailand Tigers and AFL Asia, celebrating the positive impact of AFL on local communities. The Tigers’ commitment to empowering youth – especially those who may not otherwise have access to such opportunities – is truly inspiring.

We also invite all Chamber members to join us on 6 September in supporting a meaningful cause – packing nutritious food packs for communities affected by the Myanmar earthquake and conflict, in partnership with Rotary and Disaster Aid Thailand. Let’s come together to make a real difference. [here]

As we move into September, mark your calendars for our flagship event: the AFL Grand Final Family Day on 27 September, where Aussie meat pies and great company await! Don’t miss our September Sundowners and AI Seminar, both promising engaging discussions and networking opportunities.

Last but not least, a heartfelt thanks to everyone who completed the 2025 Member Survey. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us better serve you and shape the future of the Chamber.

Thank you once again for being an active part of the AustCham community. Your continued support, participation, and generosity are what make our Chamber thrive. We can’t wait to see you at our upcoming events and initiatives!

Regards
