Message From Chamber – June 2020

Brendan 1

“Dear Austcham Members and Friends,

We start with some great news! AustCham Thailand will hold its first physical event since our March AGM, as we host the ESB Sundowners on Friday 17 July at Amari Pattaya. With the ease of restrictions, but still strict guidelines to follow, we are delighted to welcome back our members to meet in person for networking opportunities. A business briefing will also be held prior to Sundowners (more details to follow soon).

Further events are in the pipeline and we can expect to see Bangkok Sundowners to return on Wednesday 5th August, along with business briefings, workshops, and committee-led meetings. Watch this space!

While we are excited to return to physical events, we won’t lose the opportunity to connect online and will continue with informative webinars and our AustCham Member Focus series, which will be held every Friday at 1pm.

Our regular meetings with Australian Ambassador, H.E. Allan Mckinnon, and his team are proving beneficial, with the latest meeting providing confirmation of the TAFTA benefit for Australian nationals to have access to the one-stop-shop for visas. Further information can be seen in the Did you know? section below, and please feel free to contact me directly if you would like more details.

Finally, we encourage you to stay advised on relevant information affecting the Australian business community in Thailand by following our COVID-19 and Resources pages, which contain regular updates from the Australian and Thai governments, and on important legal, tax, HR, and other issues from our members.

We hope you, your teams and all families are all coping during these difficult times, and please do not hesitate to reach out us if you need any assistance, have ideas, or would just like a chat.

Together as a community, we remain stronger!”
