Message From Chamber – November 2021

Brendan 1

“Dear Austcham Members and Friends,

Greetings from your Chamber! We are well back into the swing of things and the good news is that events have returned in full force!

AustCham was delighted to hold its first physical event in 8 months, when Gold Sponsor, Bangkok Hospital presented a Breakfast Briefing on “GET A MOVE ON with Bangkok Hospital”; a highly valuable session and relevant as we open Thailand again. We also held our return Sundowners event with Gold Sponsor, Minor International, with everyone very pleased to be back networking in person. Plus we held our BevChain AustCham Golf Tournament, returned to Phuket with two more events on 10-NOV and 26-NOV, and the Eastern Seaboard for a manufacturing meeting. It’s been a busy return to events and can catch up on all below.

While the situation appears to be ever improving, AustCham Thailand will continue to keep members and the community updated on what is happening with government announcements both in Thailand and Australia, and encourage you to stay in touch with our COVID-19 page as a reliable source of information or, as always, contact the Chamber for advice.

Coming up in December, our CARE Package drive with our friends at the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT) continues with a festive theme and we will be packing 900 boxes on 1st December for delivery to our five hubs around Thailand. We once again would like to express a sincere ‘thank you’ to all who have donated to the COVID-19 CARE Package project.

Other highlights in December to look forward to are December Sundowners on 1st December, Phuket Christmas Sundowners and inaugural Phuket Walk The Talk on 9th December, and the “Update from the Embassy Member Briefing” and Christmas Sundowners Reception at the Australian Embassy on 15th December.

Finally, in our Member Corner, we are delighted to welcome three new members to the Chamber, and look forward to working with them on business and professional growth. We also continue to feature articles from our members below – if you would like to contribute to our Thought Leadership blog, please reach out to us!

Wishing you a successful month of December ahead!”
