Message From Chamber – November 2022

Brendan 1

“Dear Austcham members and Friends,

Greetings from your Chamber! As we move closer to the end of the year, AustCham is delighted to report that we have truly been a countrywide Chamber in 2022, with activities in all parts of the country.

The Chamber hosted its fourth and final Phuket event in November at SAii Laguna Phuket, also providing an updating on the continuously evolving cannabis industry from resident experts Silk Legal. A highly informative session, especially for the tourism sector in Phuket. You can also hear our members’ thoughts on the industry in our Burning Question segment this month below.

We also held our annual BevChain Golf Tournament with over 100 players and returned to Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel for Bangkok Sundowners hosted by Minor International. You can view the photos below.

Coming up in December we are on the road again for Sundowners at Meliá Chiang Mai on Friday 2nd December with Gold Sponsor, Bangkok Hospital presenting a Business Briefing on Get to know Brain Health and Dementia”; certainly a topic of concern. We return to the Australian Embassy on Wednesday 7th December for our Bangkok Christmas Sundowners Reception sponsored by dwp. And finally, for the very first time, we venture to Khon Kaen to join our partner, Glowfish, for a BCG forum and Sundowners at Adlib Khon Kaen Hotel. A busy way to finish our year.

On the communication side, we are happy to share with our members that we have archived the “COVID-19 Updates” page (served its purpose but no longer required) and replaced with an “Australian-Thai News Updates” page instead. This section keeps you informed with all the relevant news for the Australian-Thai business community and is updated regularly. A very useful tool for keeping abreast with the political, social and business environment here in Thailand.

Finally, in our Member Corner, we are delighted to welcome six new members to the Chamber and look forward to working with them on business and professional growth. We also continue to feature articles from our members below – if you would like to contribute to our Thought Leadership blog, please reach out to us!

Wishing you a successful month of December ahead!”
