CBRE – Boonthavorn Prepares to Launch DESIGN VILLAGE RATCHADA, a New Concept Addressing Urban Lifestyles with Over THB 700 million Investment, Joining Forces with CBRE as Retail Marketing Consultant and Leasing Management Advisor

Boonthavorn, a leading retailer specializing in premium home decor materials and equipment in Thailand, fortifies its position with the launch of DESIGN VILLAGE RATCHADA, representing an investment exceeding THB 700 million. This venture is realized in collaboration with CBRE Thailand, a globally distinguished real estate consultancy firm, which takes on the role of retail marketing consultant and leasing manager.

DESIGN VILLAGE RATCHADA is the fifth branch under the Design Village banner. It is the inaugural one positioned in the heart of the city, specifically in an area poised as the new CBD of Bangkok, on Ratchadaphisek Road—a substantial economic growth potential area. It marks a transformation from Boonthavorn’s existing Ratchada branch, redesigned to meet the lifestyle preferences of the new digital generation, with a focus on design and creativity. This shift is encapsulated under the concept of “Lifestyle: Work-Life Integration and Retail Mixed.”

The location of DESIGN VILLAGE RATCHADA is near the MRT Ratchadaphisek station and is surrounded by residential areas, condominiums and multiple office buildings, key factors supporting the project’s success.

Mr. Sitthisak Tayanuwat, Chief Executive Officer of Boonthavorn Retail Corporation Public Company Limited, said, “DESIGN VILLAGE RATCHADA spans over 13 rai, with a total of three floors and exceeding 3,600 square meters of leasable space. It stands out with the integration of multiple functions, including a large supermarket, an assortment of restaurants, cafes, hangout spots, fitness and beauty centers and office spaces. This combination elevates the holistic work-life experience for the new generation while retaining Design Village’s core concept of promoting better living, eating and health for visitors.

The design prioritizes user experience, ensuring convenient access with multiple entrances and exits. In a bid to emphasize optimal service experience, DESIGN VILLAGE RATCHADA accommodates on-ground parking for more than 300 vehicles, facilitating direct access from the parking area to the stores for maximum convenience.”

He further added, “DESIGN VILLAGE RATCHADA has been designed with an emphasis on seamlessly blending work and life spaces, catering to the contemporary lifestyle where work transcends the confines of traditional offices and can be pursued anytime, anywhere, thereby offering a comprehensive lifestyle solution.”

CBRE, the eminent global real estate consultancy, plays an instrumental role as the retail marketing consultant and leasing manager for DESIGN VILLAGE RATCHADA. Dr. Jariya Thumtrongkitkul, Head of Retail and Group Transaction Management at CBRE Thailand, asserted, “Leveraging our in-depth experience and expertise in the Thai retail market and consumer trends, DESIGN VILLAGE RATCHADA is well-positioned for success. The vibrant and diverse Ratchada area caters perfectly to urban dwellers with its prime location and accessibility. Furthermore, Boonthavorn’s existing Ratchada branch ranks among their highest revenue-generating and per capita revenue branches, further attesting to the project’s potential.”

Set to open in September 2024, interested retailers are encouraged to contact CBRE Thailand’s Retail Leasing team at +66 02 119 1500 to schedule a visit or inquire about joining this promising project at DESIGN VILLAGE RATCHADA.
