Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok – Luca Lodoli Joins Ms.jigger as New Restaurant Manager and Sommelier Extraordinaire

(25 October 2023 – Bangkok, Thailand) – Luca Lodoli has been appointed restaurant manager and sommelier for Ms.Jigger – contemporary Italian restaurant, bringing with him a wealth of culinary knowledge and wine know-how from his home country of Italy to elevate every diner’s experience.

Luca’s culinary adventure started in a busy household where his parents’ cooking philosophy was to “let Luca handle it!” while he was growing up in the centre of Rome. He began learning how to prepare simple Roman dishes at the tender age of 11, and eventually the dinner table turned into a rotating feast of mouthwatering treats. The ultimate foodie, who was mostly inspired by his amazing food-loving aunts, occasionally attended not one, but two dinners at their homes.

When he turned 20, and was pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Italy, Luca fell head over heels for the captivating world of wine. He enrolled in a two-year sommelier course with the Associazione Italiana Sommelier, where he delved into wine theory, grape identification, wine-tasting mastery, wine-food pairings, and service techniques.

When Luca set his sights on the University of Brighton, he wasn’t just there to study English. As an adventurous foodie and wine connoisseur, it was all about savouring new flavours and experiences too. During his time in England, he also embarked on his first part-time gig in the food and beverage industry, setting the stage for his culinary career.

Luca brings over 11 years of experience to Ms.Jigger. Prior to this, Luca’s career extended throughout Europe, in countries such as Malta, The Netherlands, England, and of course, his homeland, Italy.

With authenticity, passion and flair, Luca is set to recreate the best of the Italian table for Bangkok diners.

Ms.Jigger is open from Monday to Friday for lunch from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. and dinner from 5:30 p.m. until midnight. On Saturday and Sunday, it is open from 11:30 a.m. until midnight. Reservations may be made by calling 02 056 9999 or emailing [email protected]
