Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park – Back Open Daily from 15th July 2022

Bangkok, Thailand, 04 July 2022 – One of Thailand’s most exciting and innovative Asian restaurants, Akira Back Bangkok is delighted to announce that it will open every day from 15th July 2022. The restaurant showcases highly original modern gastronomy that blends the finest Japanese and Korean cuisine with international influences.

Conceived by Akira Back, the Michelin-starred Korean-born, American-raised chef, this exceptional dining destination is perched on the 37th floor of Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, overlooking the city. Using only high-quality ingredients, the chefs create beautiful, contemporary plates that reflect Akira Back’s cultural heritage and personal journey.

Akira Back is, in fact, several different venues in one, with the main dining area, sushi bar, robata grill, and four private dining rooms that offer spectacular views across the Bangkok skyline through floor-to-ceiling windows. In total, this top-floor venue is able to seat 120 diners, including 40 diners in the private dining rooms.

Chef Akira Back was a pro-snowboarder before becoming an award-winning chef. He brings this sense of flair to his cuisine, with bold interpretations of classic recipes and unique creations that blend Asian flavors with American influences. Signature dishes that reflect this distinctive “east meets west” style include fresh tuna pizza, AB tacos, Toro Tartare, and wagyu short rib.

Bringing these recipes to life is Chef SungHyun Yoon, a Korean-born culinary master who has worked in leading restaurants and hotels around the world, from Dubai to Singapore. He is constantly searching for new inspiration and is now delighting diners at Akira Back Bangkok with his artistic talent and attention to detail.

Diners can enjoy Akira Back’s world-class gastronomy alongside a selection of the finest sakes, including Akira Back’s own branded spirit – a clean, beautiful sake produced by the famous Nanbu Bijin brewery which dates back more than 100 years. The beverage menu also includes a curated wine list, plus Japanese, Korean, American craft beers and more.

With its atmospheric interior design, innovative cuisine, and dramatic city views, Akira Back at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park is perfect for romantic meals, special occasions, upbeat gatherings, and inspiring Instagram moments.
