Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers is celebrating Loy Krathong on the full-moon night of Tuesday 8 November 2022 with an accommodation package and two gala dinner options that are perfect for enjoying a beautiful view of the Chao Phraya River and the candle-lit krathong floating out across the water.
The evening starts from 19:00 onwards and includes a Thai classical performance, a puppet show, and a complimentary krathong to release onto the river, and fireworks at 21:00 hrs.
Loy Krathong’s gala dinner is available at two restaurants.
- Giorgio’s Italian restaurant presents an international dinner at THB 4,800++ per person, with children aged 10-12 years at THB 2,400++, and complimentary for children under nine years accompanied by an adult.
- Thara Thong has an authentic Thai dinner set menu at THB 3,800++ per person, with children aged nine to 12 years at THB 1,900++, and complimentary for children under nine years when accompanied by an adult.
Giorgio’s menu includes whole smoked salmon carved by the chefs, Italian cold cuts, and a cold seafood station with two kinds of oyster, Alaska king crab, New Zealand green mussels, rock lobster, blue crab and tiger prawns. There is a live foie gras station and a Thai curry station. The carvery features Australian prime rib, roasted whole snapper, and rolled pork belly, and a charcoal BBQ grill on the terrace will be cooking imported meats and seafood.
On the Thara Thong menu is a 6-course of Royal Thai set menu which highlighted dishes include Hoy Nang Rom Rod Ded – Fine de Claire oyster with special green coriander Thai dip, Tom Yam Pla Hima – Spicy and sour snow fish with roasted garlic, shallot, lime, chilli and hot basil leave, Mussamun Nong Kae – Musaman curry with Australian lamb shank on potatoes and Chiang Mai vegetables or Goong Yai Kaeng Poo Cha Plu Sauce – Fried jumbo tiger prawns topped with southern yellow curry sauce with crab meat, scintilla leaves and whole grain rice and more.
