Savor the Flavors of Springtime in Italy with an Exclusive “Four-Hands” Premium Beverage Dinner at Rossini’s

Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, the iconic Luxury Collection Hotel in the beating heart of Bangkok, is inviting its discerning guests and local residents to celebrate the joy of springtime in Italy with a sublime and highly sustainable six-course wine dinner, co-created by two Italian master chefs at Rossini’s, the award-winning Italian restaurant that evokes the ambiance of a traditional Tuscan villa.

For one night only on Friday 24th May, Chef Giacomo Vinci, Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit’s acclaimed executive sous chef whose stellar 15-year career has spanned fine-dining restaurants and five-star hotels in Europe and Asia, will join forces with Chef Fabio Genghini, the culinary maestro and executive chef of the all-new Khao Lak Marriott Beach Resort & Spa, to transport diners on a gastronomic odyssey to the rolling hills, sparkling seas and serene vineyards of Italy.

A choice of two original six-course set menus will be available, including a vegetarian option, both of which will use highly seasonal and sustainable ingredients, either locally sourced or imported directly from responsible farms and fisheries in Italy. This will also be a wonderfully interactive experience, as Chef Giacomo and Chef Fabio dazzle diners with creative culinary and artistic plating demonstrations at Rossini’s show kitchen, as well as interactive table-side displays and meet & greets with both chefs.

This enchanting evening will commence with handcrafted canapés and a flute of sparkling Prosecco, followed by an enticing appetizer of aburi-style (torched) citrus-marinated local mackerel for the regular menu, and the same for vegetarian guests but using freshly-prepared celeriac. Both of these taste sensations will be paired with a vibrant and citrusy Pinot Grigio from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy, which is nestled between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea.

An exquisite pasta dish of handcrafted Jerusalem artichoke tortellini with either local duck or pumpkin ragù will be complemented with a ruby-red vintage from the foothills of Mount Etna in Sicily, before guests are presented with two delectable dishes from land and sea. The fish course will feature local red snapper on a fennel, orange & borage salad (or Roman-style artichokes with fresh mint sauce & toasted hazelnuts for vegetarians), accompanied with a fruity red premium beverage from Italy’s Piedmont region, while the main course will showcase grass-fed beef flank with barley sauce, mushrooms & broccolini (or white asparagus, celeriac purée, fennel & orange salad and morels), paired with an intense red from Veneto.

This multi-sensory epicurean adventure will conclude with our chefs’ original take on a classic Italian dessert: tiramisu with Bailey’s coffee cream liqueur, toasted hazelnuts and Kahlua-infused Chantilly cream, followed by a selection of petit fours and freshly brewed Segafredo coffee.

This immersive evening will mark the start of a series of collaborations between these two gastronomic geniuses, with more events set to be unveiled in the near future. Stay tuned for further updates!

Chef Giacomo and Chef Fabio will present their four-hands, six-course premium beverage dinner at Rossini’s on Friday 24th May 2024 (18:30 – 22:00 hrs.), priced at THB 3,200++ (food only) or THB 4,200++ for the full premium beverage pairing experience.
