The delightful institution of afternoon tea at The Bakery, The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel Bangkok’s chic Thai-French patisserie, is a kaleidoscopic floral affair replete with remarkable flavours and textures throughout August and September.
The Bakery’s passionate patissiers, inspired by Chef Anupong, have directly sourced from the Royal Project an exquisite selection of brightly coloured edible flowers with which to garnish each of the new menu’s sweet and savoury dainties. All of which go perfectly with piping hot pots of the likes of Blooming Tea Ball.
Most significantly, the signature scones, flavoured with macadamia and thickly spread with chocolate rosella, are decorated with delicate cymbidium flowers.
Savouries range: Open tom yum soda roll with salmon orange and edible flower; Butterfly pea cream cheese & roasted capsicum sandwich; and Grilled shrimp with coral vine quinoa salad in tartlet.
And the pièce de resistance dessert array offers: Strawberry rose & Morello cherry cream in crumble choux; Lavender pavlova with granny smith mascarpone; Philo millefeuille with lotus mousse & apricot cremeux; Lime curd, jasmine white chocolate tart with lychee dome; Coconut sable, pear & elderflower Normandy, lemon gel; and Pink lemonade and rose petal praline.
All served every day between the hours of 02:00 P.M. and 05:00 P.M.
Priced THB1,200++ for two persons inclusive of hot premium tea from Ronnefeldt or illy coffee.
