Message From Chamber – August 2021

Brendan 1

“Dear Austcham Members and Friends,

Greetings from your Chamber!  Are we starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel? The re-opening of multiple businesses in Thailand has provided mixed responses from our members, however, the overall feeling is that it is a positive move in the right direction.

AustCham Thailand will continue to keep members and the community updated on what is happening with government announcements both in Thailand and Australia, and encourage you to stay in touch with our COVID-19 page as a reliable source of information or, as always, contact the Chamber for advice.

On the CSR front, our Board of Directors and CSR committee would like to express a sincere ‘thank you’ to all who have donated to the COVID-19 CARE Package project. We packed and distributed our second batch of 600 boxes to our 6 hubs on Saturday 28th August, which means we have now distributed 1,200 boxes of essential living items to communities that desperately need it. That’s a total of 1.2 million baht donated by the Australian-Thai community, an amazing effort during these trying times.

Looking forward to September, the CARE Package drive continues, as we announce our friends at the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT) will be joining us in the effort, so please keep the donations coming in: https://www.austchamthailand.com/about/csr/austchams-covid-19-care-package/#donation-form

On the event front, we have scheduled webinars on Clean Power Solutions for factories, Cost Savings Tips for Businesses, a Hospitality & Tourism meeting on Food Delivery Services, plus we continue our focus on Health & Wellness looking at Building a Balanced and Stable Immune System to Fight COVID-19 and an Advance Australia Council meeting on REACH OUT – Dealing with mental wellness as the pandemic continues. And of course, don’t forget to pour a glass and join us for Virtual Sundowners, as tomorrow we have an ASEAN focus!

Finally, in our Member Corner, we are delighted to welcome two new members to the Chamber, and look forward to working with them on business and professional growth. We also continue to feature articles from our members below – if you would like to contribute to our Thought Leadership blog, please reach out to us!

Wishing you a successful month of September ahead!”
